Latest on India Terror Attacks - Aim Was to Kill 5000

From Jawa - Israeli Victims Definitely Tortured

The Long War Journal Update - Assault Force of About 25, Plus a Support/Logistic Team In Place Before Attack

Ten Guys Inflict That Much Damage and Chaos?

Still lots of info to be gathered, but the lone known survivor of the India terror attacks is saying there were just 10 gunmen. This could all be disinformation, we'll have to see as more info becomes available.

Foxnews quotes one commando - "The siege was particularly troubling because they didn't spare women or children."

Animals like this deserved to be treated like animals. Gitmo is too good for them. Let's close it so the obamatons will be happy and just drop them out of planes at about 10,000 ft.

Large Scale, Coordinated Terrorist Attacks in India

From Debka
India's anti-terror chief among 80 killed in Islamist shooting-hostage attacks across Mumbai

November 26, 2008, 10:51 PM (GMT+02:00)

Mumbai Oberoi Hotel attacked by Islamist terrorists
Three top police officials, including Mumbai Police Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare, were among the nine police officers killed as security forces took on the gunmen who staged coordinated terrorist attacks on 7-8 landmarks and tourist spots in downtown Mumbai Wednesday, Nov. 26. Two gunmen were killed and three arrested after they killed at least 80 people, injured 250 and took and barricaded themselves in two luxury hotels with an unknown number of Western hostages. Armed with automatic rifles and grenades, the terrorists singled out British and American passport holders in attacking the hotels opposite the Gateway to India monument, a crowded railway terminus, the famous Leopold restaurant, a cinema and the St. George hospital which treats the city's foreigners. One group shot up the hospital as injured victims were brought in. New Delhi has been placed on terror alert.

One of the attacks occurred near the Chabad Hassidic center but there is no word of Israeli casualties.

Ringside Seat for Democrat Infighting

From Politico - Dem vs. Dem in the New Congress

Criticizing the other guy is much easier than governing much of the time. How will more conservative Democrats respond to a far-left agenda that directly hurts their supporters? For example (from the article)

Laboring over union bill

Opponents call it “card check” and say it oversimplifies the unionizing process and takes away the secret ballot. Advocates call it the Employee Free Choice Act and say it will open up new doors for labor protections.

This legislation — which would make it much easier for shops to unionize — is the big payback for Big Labor. The measure already passed the House this year and should easily pass the House next year. But the 100-member Senate needs 60 votes to break a filibuster, and the pro-business and pro-labor factions on both sides believe the Senate is stuck at 59.

The legislation is a tough call for new Southern Democratic senators such as Kay Hagan of North Carolina and Mark Warner of Virginia, along with moderate Southerners such as Blanche L. Lincoln of Arkansas and Mary L. Landrieu of Louisiana, all of whom hail from less union-friendly Southern states.

The critical question is whether Reid and labor advocates can convince these moderates to back the cloture motion to stop a filibuster, then let them vote against the final bill, which requires only a simple majority to pass.

“We don’t know if we have 60 yet. We’re at 59 [for cloture] right now,” said Josh Goldstein, a spokesman for American Rights at Work, a pro-labor group. “The issue has become front and center, and the worse the economy gets, the more support we get. [Business groups are] trying to make this a volatile issue for senators.”

30 Marines vs. 250 Taliban - Not a Fair Fight!

Marines Open Huge Can of Whup Ass, Despite Numerical and Tactical Disadvantage

A marine platoon versus about two companies of taliwhackers. Guess we did have the advantage.

During the battle, the designated marksman single handedly thwarted a company-sized enemy RPG and machinegun ambush by reportedly killing 20 enemy fighters with his devastatingly accurate precision fire. He selflessly exposed himself time and again to intense enemy fire during a critical point in the eight-hour battle for Shewan in order to kill any enemy combatants who attempted to engage or maneuver on the Marines in the kill zone. What made his actions even more impressive was the fact that he didn't miss any shots, despite the enemies' rounds impacting within a foot of his fighting position.
